markets
EAL is active with the EAL ATS access control solution in several markets. Within each market different wishes and demands are implemented in the EAL software to meet the end-user and market standards. Because the EAL hard- and software is 100% developed by EAL, changes and software updates can easily be implemented using the same source code for all our end-users. For this reason the market specific changes are possible within the software without creating countless fixed software versions.
Banking Sector:
High-end security and access control solutions are implemented in the banking sector. A largest part of the European Banking sector is located in Luxembourg, in which EAL is one of the market leaders. Access control systems are implemented using the company TCP/IP network connecting all sites and buildings in one central system. 98% of all the access points (doors, barriers, speed gates, etc) are secured with proximity (or MIFARE) card reader technology. The latest technology like biometrical recognition (combined with the company card) is used to secure to remaining 2% (which is gaining market compared to standard reader technology each year). A very important issue in this sector is the usage of end-user client data (especially crucial in Luxembourg) and keeping this information inside the company walls. EAL has several options to secure these departments with tourniquets combined with biometrical recognition (Facial, Finger or Iris recognition).
(Dutch) Public Safety Sector:
Within the public safety sector, the main issue is building security combined with their open structure (often these buildings have a public function as well). People and employees usually enter the public part of the building, whilst from that location; the rest of the building should only be reachable for authorised employees. Another main point of interest is the fact that employees from all over the country are visiting each other to share information (interregional employment). The access control system should offer the possibility to enter buildings from other regions with the same badge. Being market leader in the Dutch Public Safety Sector, EAL offers a solution based on the ATS software combined with MIFARE card reader technology. This Mifare card (which is programmed by EAL with the high secure MAD sector technology) can be used in the several regional districts to gain access.
Governmental Sector:
EAL will secure small local communities to large regional projects. Depending on the size of the project EAL implements standalone or (national) network enabled solutions. Usually a connection is made between EAL ATS and administrative software packages, resulting in one main database with employee information.
Industrial Sector:
Industrial end-users often implement two EAL systems at the same moment in time (EAL ATS access control and Time Attendance Registration). This for the reason that there are a lot of contractors and external employees on-site, the EAL ATS and TAR software can use special contractor fields, containing information concerning: Contractor information, Employer information, Contact person, Security certificates, Max Time on-site, etc. Once per day, week or month the time attendance information can be distributed automatically by email of post to all the employees and contractors. When a connection with the financial system is present salaries can be paid with the EAL ATS TAR system as main information source.
Medical Sector:
Midsize to large Medical institutions are using the EAL ATS application. Because the implementation of security systems in this sector usually consumes a lot of time, EAL offers the possibility to implement step by step. First the company card can be implemented (sometimes up to 20.000 cards in one project) using the standard EAL ATS software with the badge printing module. After this first phase, the next step (access control) can be implemented using the same EAL ATS software (no additional extensive training is needed in this phase, for the reason the software is already is use).
